Village of Schoharie

Water System

Improvements Project

 

Reservoir, Schoharie, New York

This water system improvements project for a community with an average consumption of 200,000 gpd is currently in the construction phase.  Engineering and planning services have been provided for all phases of the project as follows:

                                                                                             

  • Preliminary Engineers Report  

  • Final Design and  Specifications  

  • Funding Application Assistance

  • Bidding Assistance 

  • Water Supply Application

  • Construction Administration  

  • Facility Plan of Proposed Facilities

  • Full-time Construction Observation

The major components of this project include:  

  • New 45 MG earthen reservoir

  • Rehabilitation of spring source

  • New 250 GPM surface water filtration plant

  • New transmission main

  • Installation and replacement of approximately 12,200 lineal feet of 6 and 8-inch water mains and relative appurtenances

  •  New water service meters and Auto-Read Billing System
     
     

The total estimated project cost of this project is $4,234,000.  A grant of $1,821,583 and a loan of $2,412,417 was secured from the NYS Environmental Facilities Corporation, Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) to finance this project.
