Public Meeting To Explain Roxbury Project Grant Process

 Mountain Eagle
January 9, 2003

Roxbury Supervisor Tom Hynes reminded town residents of a public informational meeting to be held Monday, Jan. 13, beginning at 7:30 p.m.. This meeting will be to explain the grant being applied for to assist in underwriting the cost of sewer laterals in the hamlet of Roxbury. According to Pickett, any other business appropriate to the town will also be discussed at that time.

Pickett reported that a newsletter, jointly written by Lamont Engineering and town grantswriter Peg Ellsworth, will soon be mailed to residents in the town. The newsletter will help keep residents informed of the progress of the Roxbury sewer and Grand Gorge water projects, especially as to the timetable and whereabouts of contracting crews. The newsletter will also advise residents of the grants being pursued to reduce the tax-payers’ burden.
