Village of Hobart

Water Supply and Treatment

System Project

 

Water Treatment Plant, Hobart, New York

This project entails developing a new groundwater source to replace an existing well under Order on Consent from NYSDEC, and upgrading the water treatment facility and tank transmission main for this community with a design average water consumption of 75,000 gpd.  This project is currently in the design phase. 

 

Engineering and Planning services are being provided for all phases of the project as follows:  

  • Preliminary Engineer’s Report              

  • Facility Plan of Proposed Facilities  

  • Funding Application Assistance

  • Water Supply Application  

  • Test Production Well Development

  • Well Siting and Test Drilling

  • Final Design and Specifications

  • Bidding Assistance

  • Construction Administration  

  • Full-time Construction Observation

The major components of the project included the following:  

  • New Production Wells

  • New Well Control Building

  • New 3,000 L.F. raw water transmission main

  • Water Treatment Plant for radon, iron and manganese   removal, including treatment process equipment, motor  control center, master control panel for system controls, high lift pumps, chemical feed system, and process piping

  • New 2,100 L.F. Tank Transmission Main
