Water System Improvements

Water Treatment Plant, Sharon Springs, New York

This project for a community with an average water consumption of 0.200 MGD consisted of upgrading the Village’s water treatment and distribution system.  Engineering and planning services were provided for all phases of the project as follows:

• Preliminary Engineers Report 

• Bidding Assistance

• Funding Application Assistance

• Construction Administration

• Facility Plan of Proposed Facilities

• Full-time Construction Observation

• Final Design and Specifications

The major components of the project included the following:

• New 0.500 MGD water filtration plant for combined upland and groundwater sources

• Miscellaneous distribution system improvements

The total project cost of this project was $2,100,000.  Grants totaling $1,400,000 and a loan of $730,000 were secured from the Farmers Home Administration and HUD programs to finance this project.
